Serving on the 2025 PBS Endorsement Board 

Important Dates: 

Applications due by March 21, 2025. 

Mandatory Training

April 16 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon OR May 14 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. 

Applications to serve on the PBS Endorsement Board are currently being accepted. In 2024, the PBS Portfolio for endorsement was completely revised for all future trainees. The new portfolio requires 140 items that will be independently reviewed and scored by 3 PBS endorsement members. There is no interview as part of the endorsement process. 

It has been estimated that a portfolio will take a minimum of 4 hours to review and score. The application is available here. Applications for the upcoming year will be accepted until March 21. There is a mandatory training for all accepted applicants on April 16 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM  or May 14 from 1:00 -4:00 PM which will occur by zoom. Applications for the upcoming year will be accepted until March 21, 2025.

Please note the following requirements necessary to apply: 

  • Currently endorsed and in good standing (no ethics or standards of practice violations);

  • Participation in Person Centered Thinking Training within the past 3 years (Person Centered Thinking Training Schedule

  • Participate in training to score the portfolio;

  • Impeccable references; 

  • Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills; 

  • Professional conduct: Conduct that represents PBS principles consistent with ethics and standards of practice guidelines and person centered support; 

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; 

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; 

  • Expertise in person centered practices, team facilitation, behavior analysis, VAPBS code of ethics and standards of practice; and 

  • Experience using computer-based technology and google docs.
